Mundoonen vineyard and winery
Mundoonen is a fully equipped, small Canberra District winery, making wine exclusively from
hand-picked Canberra District premium wine grapes. All our wine is hand-made by us in our winery
with state-of-the-art wine equipment.
Our first wine, the 2002 Riesling, won the Gold Medal and Trophy for the best Riesling at the
Canberra Regional Wine Show 2004. Our first wine, the 2002 Riesling, won a Gold Medal and Trophy
for the Best Canberra District Riesling and was listed in the Top 10 Rieslings in Australia at
the Hyatt International Riesling Challenge 2005 after winning a Gold Medal and Trophy for the
Best Riesling in the Canberra Regional Wine Show 2004. We make a range of different styles of
wine using Riesling, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Sauvignon Blanc using premium Canberra
District Wine grapes.
The winery and vineyard are located in beautiful rural surrounds beside the Yass River behind
one of the oldest (C.1858) settlers' cottages in the beautiful Yass River Valley and the Cool
Climate Canberra Wine District.
Antiques and Collectables shop
Mundoonen also has available for visitors an interesting and varied antiques and collectables
shop in the winery. Visitors are free to browse or buy from the fascinating range of antique,
vintage and 'retro' item which also includes vintage costume jewellery.
